Jackson (Jack) Davis was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 19, 1931, the sixth of nine children of the late Ozie and Elizabeth Davis. He was called home on November 30, 2014 to be with the Lord.
Jack attended Hughes High School where he excelled in gymnastics and was one of the first gymnasts in the city to complete the "Iron Cross". He also expressed his artistic abilities through drawing and painting. Jack graduated from Hughes in 1951.
Soon after graduation, Jack began his career at Tastee Bread Bakery where he was a dedicated worker for over 40 years. He retired from the Bakers Union in 1993.
Jack began attending the Worldwide Church of God (formerly known as Radio Church of God) with his family in 1963. Jack was a very active member of the church, became a Deacon and was also responsible for organizing events. Jack always displayed unwavering faith in God and was an avid student of the Bible.
Jack was also affectionately known as "The Old Timer", due to his vast wisdom and knowledge. He was an outstanding role model to his family and friends. The Old Timer loved watching old westerns and karate movies, often quoting lines along with the actors. He enjoyed pitching horse shoes, playing corn hole, card games and limburger cheese.
Jack was preceded in death by his loving daughters, Sharon Davis and Beverly Stulz; his parents, Ozie and Elizabeth Davis; his siblings, Virginia Burnett, Hilda Davis, Mildred Martin, Ozie Davis Jr., Donald Davis and Elizabeth Austin.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 60 years, Eula Mae Davis; his sons, Jackson Davis Jr. (Felicia), Mark Davis, John Davis; his grandchildren, Jackson Davis III, Candace Davis, John Davis II, Christopher Davis, Quentin Davis; his great-grandchildren, Johniya Davis and Jaylon Davis; his sisters, Lela Kinsey, Priscilla Maxey; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
