Jacqueline Jean Warner

Jacqueline Jean (Jackie) Warner passed away January 23, 2020. She was 85 years old.

She was born in Newport Kentucky and lived most of her life in the Northern Ky. Area. She grew up during the great depression and WW2 along with her brother and two sisters. They were among the first "latch key kids" as both their parents had to work during the war. She graduated from Florence High School just before Boone County High School was built and went on to study at Georgetown College where she met her future husband. She and Kenneth Warner were married in 1954.

She put her college on hold to start a family. Raised five children and then went back to finish her education with a bachelor of science degree from Northern Kentucky University. Later earning a master of science in secondary education in 1983. She began a lifelong goal of becoming a teacher and taught for 25 years at Orchard Street Christian School in Elsmere Ky.

Later in life at the age of 79 she began writing and published her first of several books. She was a lifetime member of Kentaboo Baptist Church. She loved gardening and reading. She loved dogs and cats. Jackie was completely devoted to her church and her family. She loved children and always saw the good in everyone and made everyone she knew feel like family.

Jackie is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth and her son Bruce. She was also preceded in death by her Sister Elizabeth Florence and
brother Virgil Vater.

She is survived by her sister Pauline Wharton of Huntsville Ala. And her brother Raymond Vater of Hawaii. Sons Bobby (Teresa) and Daniel Warner. Daughters Paula Sims (Earl) and Barb (Jeannie) Staton (Donald); Grandsons Jeremy Warner (Danielle) Charles Warner (Mindy) Steven Warner (Sarah) and Will, Andrew, Jesse and Shane Sims; Great grandchildren Nate, Landon, Tyler, Bobby and Katelynn Warner.

Visitation will be from 10 am to noon, Saturday Feb. 1 at Newcomer, Cremations, Funeral and Receptions 4350 Dixie Hwy, Erlanger, KY. Funeral services following at noon by Rev. bro. Chuck Mericle. Interment following at Forest Lawn cemetery in Erlanger Ky.
