James Baker

James Wallace Baker, age 84 of Cincinnati passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 8:40 PM. He was born in Georgetown, Ohio on May 29, 1927 the son of James Wallace and Helen Edna (Tatman) Baker. James was a veteran of the United States Army serving from February 6, 1951 until February 5, 1954. He was employed with the VA Medical Center in Cincinnati.

He is survived by four daughters, Micaiah Yhisrael, Norita Baker, Lora Baker, and Rhonda Napier; one son, Wesley Baker; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dolores Hayes, and Janie Coleman; one brother, John Baker; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Baker; and a sister, Eileen McClendon.

Funeral Service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor William James officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.
