James Boggan

Boggan, James, age 69, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 4, 1947 to the late Joe L. and Evelyn Boggan. James graduated from Robert A. Taft High School, Class of 1965. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and had a fondness for western cowboy movies and traveling.
Later in his life, James recognized and further developed his relationship with his Creator which became the foundation for the rest of his life. He was handy 'Jack of All Trades', the 'Steve Harvey of Cincinnati' with a talkative personality who never met a stranger. James hosted an annual fish fry in his backyard; he loved laughing and making others laugh. You will be remembered by the many lives you touched.
James will be deeply missed by his Daughter, Shannon Boggan; Son, Jahmal Boggan; Sisters, Jeanette Boggan, Terri (Antonio) Williams and Joyce (Willie) Lawson; Grandchildren, Jasmine B. Gault, Courtney N. Chambers, Jalen Woods and Janai Hall; Nieces, Nephews and a host of other family members and friends. In addition to his Parents, James was preceded in death by Brothers, Joe and Lloyd Boggan and Sisters, Dorothy Miller and Barbara Harris.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Inspirational Baptist Church, 11450 Sebring Dr, Cincinnati, Ohio 45240. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.
