James Carradine was born on August 22, 1931 to the late Jessie and Bessie Green Carradine in Fayette, Mississippi. He was one of seven children born to this union. Preceding him in death were six siblings, Bessie, Jessie Jr., Mildred, Jessie Mae, Josie Mae and Gertrude.
James accepted Jesus Christ early in life. He was a caring, loving father and devoted husband. He was a very hard worker. His long employment history started in Fayette, Mississippi as a truck driver and a railroad worker. James later became employed as a bus driver, and at a chemical plant, US Shoe Company, ACME Construction and he was also the owner of a lawn care service.
James moved from Fayette, Mississippi to Lambert, Mississippi where he met Lee Ethel Boyd. To this union four children were born one daughter, Sonji Carradine and three sons, James Boyd, Jessie Carradine and Gregory Carradine.
James later married his loving and devoted wife, Denise Carradine, whose union lasted for 25 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Denise Carradine; two daughters, Sonja and Vickie; three sons, James (Tracy), Jessie (Fannie) and Gregory; nine stepchildren, Charles (Felicia), Chala, Anita, Gloria, Jimmie, Linda, Josephine, Manuel, Joanne and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
