James Kolbinsky

It is with deep sorrow that we announce passing of James Kolbinsky, age 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio, who left this world on September 30, 2024. Born in Cincinnati on August 11, 1940, to Erwin and Mary Kolbinsky (nee Smart), James was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

James is preceded in death by his brother, Robert, as well as his loving parents, Erwin and Mary Kolbinsky. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Sylvia Kolbinsky (nee Hall); his daughters, Jeanie (Steve) Erfman and Michele (Kris) Krider; his brother, John Kolbinsky; and his grandchildren, including Casey (Ryan) Czech, Megan Erfman, Morgan Erfman, Justin Retzner, Isabella Krider, and Olivia Krider. James was also a proud great-grandfather to Mia, Cora, and Holden; many nieces and nephews. James is also survived by his wife's children, son David (Barb) Wagner,  daughters, Denise (Tom) Browne, and Deanna Bauer;  grandchildren Alex and Tommy Browne and Tyler and Lola Bauer.

James had a passionate love for bowling and golfing, achieving remarkable milestones including several perfect games and two holes in one. He shared many joyful moments with his brother Rob as they traveled together to various bowling tournaments, creating memories that will be cherished by those who knew him.

In honor of James’s legacy, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Cincinnati (644 Linn Street Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203) and/or Hospice of Cincinnati (C/O Bethesda Foundation, 10500 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242). Friends and family are invited to gather Friday, October 25, 2024 for a visitation from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
