James "Melvin" Tucker, age 78, of Latonia, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 14, 1943 to Cleves Tucker and Della Mae Burnside.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cleves Tucker, mother, Della Mae Burnside, son, Eugene Allen Tucker, step-grandson, D'Maris Glover; step-daughter, Sandra Penman, grandchildren, Ramond George, Kamisha Bullock, Melvin Tucker II, sisters, Geraldine (John Harvey) Taylor, Remember Cooper, Artie Mae Sanders.
Melvin is survived by his beloved Wife of 30 years, Rev. Caroline Tucker (nee Neviles); children, Elka (Anthony) Brown, Darlene Tucker, Melvin James (Kisha) Tucker, Jr., Dylan Tucker, Donty (Mimi) Horton, Ja'Monda (Kyle) Whittle, Elizabeth R. (Brandi Gamble) Penman; step-daughters, Luciana (David) Thompson, Shannon Hayes, Lisa (Frederick) Williams, Kristy Frazier, Diane Penman, Latolya (Joe) Penman-Zanders; 36 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Eugene (Weddie) Burnside; sisters, Charline Sweat, Antionette Dillingham; brother-in-law, Ronald Bottom; and a host of other family members and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to Crucifixion Baptist Church, 1801 Greenup Street, Covington, Kentucky 41011.
Funeral Ceremony will be 5:00 pm Friday, January 7, 2022 with a visitation from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Crucifixion Baptist Church, 1801 Greenup Street, Covington, Kentucky 41011.
