James E. Moss, Sr.

James Eugene Moss, Sr., age 93, of Burlington, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on April 26, 1931 to the late William "Jack" and Mildred Moss (nee Harrison).

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 60 years, Marilyn Moss (nee Gerde), siblings, Bob Moss, Carol Doane and Pat McIntosh. Jim is survived by his beloved children, James E. (Cheryl) Moss, Jr., Lori (Mark) Doyle, Kathleen Lewis and Renee (Greg) Stamper; siblings, William (Mary) Moss and Bonnie (Dennis) Smith; grandchildren, Jason Lewis, Nathan Stamper, Justin Stamper, Megan Doyle, Anna Moss, Jarred Stamper and Jordan Stamper; great-grandchildren, Javin Lewis, Stella Lewis and Charlotte Stamper; and a host of other family members and friends.

He served in the Air Force and was awarded a Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and a UN Service Medal. He was a member of the Ludlow Veterans since 1953. Jim was also a Kentucky Colonel and an avid fisherman.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am followed by a service at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Burial will take place immediately following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Following burial, friends are invited to join the family at the funeral home for a reception.
