Obituary


James Richard Nichols, age 91 of Cincinnati passed away at Triple Creek Nursing Home on, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 12:45 PM. He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on April, 6, 1920 the son of Samuel Nichols and Elizabeth (Robertson) Karim. James was the owner\operator of a Transmission repair shop. He was married to Eulalia Nichols, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by a daughter, Hermania Cross; a son, Ronnie Cross; five brothers, Willie Ellish, Geemal Karim, Fareed Karim, Ahmad Karim, and Paul Davidson; four sisters, Lucille Cooper, Maryann Arasheed, Helen Martin, and Emma Thomas; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Nichols Jr.; two brothers, Howard Nichols and Joe Davidson; three sisters, Alice Shah, Alma Harmon, and Rebecca Davidson.

Funeral Service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
