Nickels, James B. age 92, of Wyoming, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. He was born in Dungannon, Virginia on August 21, 1927 to Earl B. and Dixie P. Nickels (nee Robinette).
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma B. Nickels; great-granddaughter, Sheyenne McVey; sister, Myrtle Nickels; brother, John Nickels. James is survived by his beloved daughters, Sheila L. (Don) McVey, Pamela D. (Sandra Mathews) Nickels, Elizabeth N. (Paul) Stratman; grandchildren, Nelson (Angie) McVey, James (Brooke) McVey, Paul Stratman, Jr., Kaitlin Stratman; great-grandchildren, Shelby McVey, Evan McVey, Grace McVey, Josiah McVey, Elijah McVey, Wynter McVey, Alexis Tucker, Aaron Tucker, Jon Osmun, Audrey Osmun; sister, Nannie Kate Eckhardt; brother, Emory (Barb) Nickels; and a host of other family members and friends.
He was an avid gardener, hunter (bow and gun), fisherman, bowler, softball player. He loved his dogs, horses and was a fixer of all things.
In loving memory of James, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
Funeral Ceremony will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 17, 2020 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Burial to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
