James Ronald Staton

July 26, 1944 — April 4, 2015

Staton, James Ronald, age 70, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2015. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 26, 1944 to the late James and Mamie Staton. Jim often displayed his unique sense of humor but very deeply cared for those he loved. He found his spirituality in the beauty of nature and was an avid reader.

Jim is survived by his beloved Wife of 40 years, Kathy Staton (nee Wethington); Son, Lafe Staton, Son, Joshua Staton, Daughter, Kelsey Staton, Grandchildren, Kylie Staton and Logan Gyevat, Brothers, Brad (Jean) and David (Sharon); Sisters, Kimberly (Bruce) and Judy (Steve); and a host of other family members and friends. In addition to his Parents, Jim was preceded in death by 2 Brothers, Robert and Marty Staton; and Sister, Cindy Sue.

Memorial Service will be 4:00 pm Saturday, April 11, 2015 with a visitation from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's honor may be made to Cancer Research Institute through their website www.cancerresearch.org/giving-to-cri/honor-memorial-giving.
