Setters, James R. "Jim" age 71, of Burlington, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023. He was born in Hebron, Kentucky on June 22, 1951 to George Setters and Teresa Setters (nee Schultz).
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, JoAnn Bowlin, Margie Setters, Connie Setters, Calvin Setters, and Norma Wright. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Dorothy Louise Setters (nee Hodges); loving children, James Robert (Patricia) Setters, Jr., Tina (Cristi Myers) Setters and David (Amber) Setters; cherished grandchildren, Jesse Droz, Nicholas Setters, Garrett Ridener, Noah Setters, Isaiah Setters, Brooks Setters, Aubrie Myers; 4 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Donald (Pam) Setters, Garney (Patty) Setters; and a host of other family members and friends.
Jim was a devoted Christian and longtime member of Florence Baptist Temple. He had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He cherished his family and friends, he always enjoyed spending time talking with those he loved. Softball and baseball were some of his favorite pastimes whether he was playing, coaching or umpiring. Jim even took pride in owning his own business, Spinners Pizza.
Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 pm Thursday, March 9, 2023 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Florence Baptist Temple, 1898 Florence Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Interment will follow at Petersburg Cemetery, Petersburg, KY.
