James W. Stauffer

James Stauffer of Cincinnati, Ohio.

James passed away at his home from complications of sarcoidosis and congestive heart failure on November 4, 2024. James was born in Lima, Ohio, the son of Floyd and Mary Stauffer. He graduated from Bath High School in 1963. 

He was married for 56 years to Juanita Stauffer (nee Kill), who proceeded him in death in 2023. He is survived by brother Ron (wife, Karen), daughters, Janet (husband, Scott) Cain and Jackie (husband, Eric) Clark, and grandchildren, Elizabeth Cain, Paul Clark, and Levi Clark.

James honorably served in the US Navy Corps as a Hospital Operating Room Nurse, with active duty from 1965 to 1969 in New York, NY and Sasebo, Japan, and on-call duty from 1969 to 1972. Following his military service, he compassionately served patients in a variety of nursing settings and facilities. He worked at the VA Hospital and Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio, and Echoing Valley Residential Homes. He was a student wellness nurse at Cedarville College (now University) and held a variety of home health care positions. 

He attended both Clark State University and Cedarville University, and was an ordained minister through United Christian Faith Ministries. 

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, Ohio.
