Jane Marie Smith

Jane Marie (Andrich) Smith, 82, of Galena, Ohio, peacefully passed on to our Lord on February 16, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jane was born in East Titusville, Pennsylvania on February 24, 1940, to George and Doris Andrich. She was the third child to George and Doris, including brothers Donald and William, and sisters Virginia and Maxine.

Jane attended East Titusville schools and later graduated from Olentangy High School of Lewis Center, Ohio. Jane was married to Allen Dale Clay. She was a loving mother to daughter Tavane Marie (Clay) Cammarn and sons Dale Allen Clay and Lance Gene Clay.

Jane started working for TelOhio as an evening telephone operator. She also worked for many years as a financial manager for Eshelman Chrysler Plymouth (later Carriage Town and Performance Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram) of Delaware, Ohio, and was a faithful member of Rural Chapel United Methodist Church of Galena, Ohio.

Jane is survived by daughter Tavane Cammarn (Steve), sons Dale Clay and Lance Clay; granddaughters Jennifer Cammarn (Alex Merritt), Laura (Cammarn) Rinehart (Joshua) and Casey Clay; and sisters Virginia Norman (William) and Maxine Dixon. She is predeceased by her brothers Donald Andrich and William Andrich.

A service of remembrance will be held at Rural Chapel United Methodist Church on February 25 at 4:00 PM

Please wear purple as it was Jane's favorite color.
