Jean Flint, age 73, was born a twin. Her twin brother, Jimmy, preceded her in death, at the age of 56. They were born on September 7, 1940 in Andrews, North Carolina to the late James H. and Christine H. Dorsey. Jean accepted Christ, and was baptized at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Andrews, North Carolina prior to moving to Cincinnati, Ohio in the early 1950's.
Jean was always somewhat sickly, but that did not affect her great sense of humor or her strong will. She would give anyone the shirt off her back without a second thought, literally... She loved listening to Gospel music. Every Saturday her brothers and sisters would all get together and sing old Gospel songs. This was a ritual in the Dorsey family until the Death Angel took all but one sister, Paulette Hill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Gwyn F. Dorsey, Margie Casey, Sarah Dorsey, Frank Dorsey, Harold Dorsey, and Jimmy Dorsey. Jean is survived by a sister Paulette Hill; niece Mary Crooks (Derrick); nephews, Edward Dorsey (known as "Red"), Ronnie Dorsey, and Willie Hill Jr.; and a host of great-nephews, nieces, and other family members and friends.
