Jeffrey J. Martyr, age 56, of Forest Park, Ohio passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019.
He was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 13, 1963 to John and Genevieve Martyr (nee Pich).
Jeff was employed with Liberty Transportation as a semi-truck driver for many years, and he previously owned a roofing business.
Jeff was a caring, loving and hardworking man who touched many lives. He was very personable, always had a positive outlook on life, and was consistently able to make people smile. Even if he needed to go out of his way, he was always willing to go above and beyond to lend a hand to those who needed him. In any given situation, Jeff had a talent of knowing exactly what to say and giving good advice.
Jeff was a proud father to his son, David. They shared a very close and loving relationship where they enjoyed spending quality one-on-one time together. Jeff and David enjoyed the hobbies of bowling and metal detecting, among other activities. All in all, it didn't matter what they were doing as long as they were together.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James P. Martyr; and sister, June Geist.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Sheri Bowling; son, David J. Martyr; sisters, Janet White, Joanne Craft-Lane, and Joyce Martyr; eight nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
