Jeremiah Young

Jeremiah Young, was born on May 14, 1925 to the late Evan and Alice Young in Elmore, Alabama along with his twin brother Hezekiah. He retired from the railroad after 45 years of service. On May 17, 1967 Jeremiah became an ordained licensed minister. On January 6, 1985 he joined Greater Mt. Rose Baptist Church, where he was an associate Minister until his health failed him in 2009 when he was admitted to East Galbraith Health Care Center. On April 21, 1978 in Newport, Kentucky he was joined together in Holy matrimony to Susie Larkins. Between Jeremiah and Susie they had 9 children

On January 16, 2013 at 3:53 PM the most Heavenly Father called him from his home in the Garden of Life to the Eternal Home to part no more. He is survived by his devoted wife Susie Young; 6 sons, Jeremiah Jr. and his wife Pat, Leon and his wife Phyllis; William and his wife Vera, Jerome and his wife Nise, Eddie and Terry; 3 daughters, Sarah and her husband Phillip, Ophelia and her husband Ronnie, and Matilda; 46 grandchildren; 111 great-grandchildren; 32 great-greatgrandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, his twin Hezekiah, and Becky.

Funeral service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 on, Monday, January 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Fred Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Vine Street Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
