Jerry P. "Moe" Monk, age 68, of Rising Sun, Indiana passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 25, 1952 to Raymond C. and Jewell Corinne Monk (nee Stapleton).
Jerry worked at Vince's Other Place in Mt. Healthy for twenty years as a bouncer. He was actively involved in the lives of those he loved, always checking in and making sure they were doing well.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, David Monk.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Dianna Monk (nee Brooks); daughter, Corinna Lynn Monk; son, Jeremy B. Monk; step-daughter, Bridget M. Conley; step-son, Richard T. Rolfsen; grandchildren, Vanessa R. Woodruff, and Phillip J. Woodruff; siblings, Donna (Art) Estes, Mike (Diane) Monk, Judy (Jim) Bailey; sister-in-law, Monica Monk; nieces and nephews, Tommy (Kathy) Estes, Tonia (Jerry) Deidesheimer, Angie Monk, Doug (Allyson) Monk, Tony (Tasheena) Bailey, Alyssa Bailey, and Jamie (Frieda) Bailey; and a host of other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Jerry, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Arlington Memorial Gardens, 2415 Comton Road, Mt. Healthy. A Celebration of Life memorial gathering will follow the services at Vince's Other Place, 7701 Hamilton Ave # 1, Mt. Healthy, beginning around 4:00PM.
