Jewell B. Bramel

Bramel, Jewell B. age 99, of Erlanger, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. She was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on July 4, 1923 to the late Oscar and Flonnie Burton (nee Smith).

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bernard Burton, Glen Burton, Marvin Burton and Arlen V. Burton; sister, Montie Wesley; and husband, Jene E. Bramel. Jewell is survived by her beloved children, Jene (Susan) Bramel, II, Carolyn (the late Philip) Sayer and Jerel (Nancy Fletcher) Bramel; grandchildren, Jene E. (Jennifer) Bramel III, Eric Raymond (Kelly) Bramel, Amy Mildred Bramel, Emily Caroline (Nathan) Smith, Dawn (Doug) Hand and Melissa (Timothy O'Sullivan) Fletcher; sisters, Lillian (Thomas) Morrow and Christine Elizabeth (Benny) Shadoan; ten great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

Jewell was a talented seamstress and made custom wedding veils for the old Shillito's Bridal Salon. She belonged to quilting and sewing clubs and made dozens of quilts for family, friends, and everyone's new babies. Jewell also was constantly gifting fudge, brownies and bread for anyone she knew. But she was most proud of and loved being a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother!!!

Jewell was a 55 year + member of the Erlanger Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm followed by a service at Erlanger Baptist Church, 116 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
