Jimmie James was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the union of the late Judson and Cecelia (nee Smothers) James. He departed this life on February 27, 2012 surrounded by his loving family.
Jimmie was educated at Withrow High School and was an avid football player. He was employed at Veterans Hospital for 36 years and also served in the United States Army.
Jimmie is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia James; sons, Daryl James (Marshell) and Anthony James; daughter, Harriet Satterwhite. Also survived by four grandchildren, Dannielle, Christopher, Amanda and Anthony II; one great-grandson, Christopher Jr; Surviving sisters Jannie Watkins (Xerxes), Shirley Ballew, Elsie Hert and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and friends.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his devoted brother Edward Johnson and sister Della Carter.
