Jo Ann Bouldin

Jo Ann Bouldin was born on December 22, 1938 to Lucius Roberts and Edna (Green) Roberts in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jo Ann was the oldest of four siblings, Lucius G. Roberts Jr, Ronald L. Roberts and Robyn Roberts Render, all of which have preceded her in death. Jo Ann received Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church of Cumminsville. There she strengthened her faith and began her walk with the Lord, attending Sunday school and being extremely active in the many different church activities.

Jo Ann graduated from Central High School and on November 25, 1961 she married Paul Jerome Bouldin. This union was blessed with two children: Kimberly A. Bouldin-Bryant and Paul J. Bouldin.
Together Jo Ann and Paul dedicated their lives to serving the Lord, loving family, friends and each other. Jo Ann continued working for the Lord as a member of New Community Baptist Church. And some years later, Jo Ann and Paul joined Full Gospel Christian Fellowship. Her devotion and abundant love for Christ prepared her for her Christian walk. She served in many capacities as a disciple of Christ.

Staying active in her community was important to Jo Ann. She was a member in several clubs, The Modern Ms., The Ultimate Women, and The Nannie Hellen Burroughs Federated Club, where she dedicated time and service to helping others in the Church and community. Jo Ann spent every spring cultivating her flowerbeds and for several years a garden that she grew fresh vegetables. She enjoyed bowling where she was on a team with friends and also a couple's league with her beloved husband Paul.

Jo Ann and Paul were lifetime companions and enjoyed 53 years of love and marriage. Studying the Bible and simple car rides together on Sunday afternoons were some of the precious moments they shared.

On February 27, 2015, she went home to be with the Lord, leaving her family and friends to cherish loving memories and to continue her legacy of service, faith, and love. Jo Ann's children: Kimberly A. Bouldin-Bryant and Paul J Bouldin (Jennifer), daughter in love Tangela Howard, 8 grandchildren: Kimberly Nicole Bryant, Stephanie Bryant, Britani Bouldin, Cameron Bouldin, Sydney Bouldin, Jason Light, DiAira Howard, Greg Howard and 2 great-grandchildren: (twins) Faith and Hope Draper. She also leaves two brother-in-laws Calvin Bouldin (Barbara) and Michael Render (Robin) and a host of other beloved family and dear friends.
