Joan Ann Schlachter

Joan Ann Schlachter, age 85 passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Cincinnati. She was born in Cincinnati on September 5, 1927. Beloved wife of John Schlachter who passed away on April 21, 1964. Devoted mother of Dave (Kathy) Schlachter of Taylor Mill, Kentucky and Jim (David Meredith)Schlachter of Cincinnati; Loving grandmother of DJ and Stephen; great-grandmother of Finn and Emma; Loving aunt of Dan Danzl and Sandi Arata; and caring great-aunt to many others. Joan was a long time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and a respected and loved teacher for 25 years at Our Lady of Visitation School.

A Memorial Mass will be held at the Lady of Our Lourdes Parish, 5835 Glenway Avenue, Cincinnati, 45238 on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10:30 AM with Fr. Matt Cushing, Celebrant. A memorial gathering will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Anthony School, 485 Grand Avenue, Taylor Mill, Kentucky 41015 or to the SPCA-Cincinnati, 3049 Colerain Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45223.
