JoAnn Stein

JoAnn Stein, age 87, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Born on September 3, 1936, in Burlington, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of Theodore G. and Rachel Reinhart (nee Utz).

JoAnn had a deep passion for gardening and took immense pride in her beautiful flowers. The holidays were particularly dear to her heart, and she loved to create special memories for her family during these times. Her devotion to her family was unwavering; she selflessly cared for her husband, Jack, throughout his illness over the course of nearly 12 years. Her family truly meant everything to her.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John "Jack" Stein, her brothers William and Theodore "Buck" Reinhart, and her granddaughter, Angel Grace Nottingham. She is survived by her son, David (Sue) Stein; daughters, Sharon Meyer, Cathy (Sam) Livingood, and Cheryl (Joel) Shepherd; sister, Dora McNeely; grandchildren, Scott (Jessica) Meyer, Brad Meyer, Jennifer (Charlie) Lee, Stacey (John) Meyer, Ann Stein, Elaine (Matt) Wagel, Stellana (Jon) Tobin, Jamie (Jenni) Livingood, Hannah (Greg) Nottingham, and Jacob (Breanna) Shepherd; as well as great-grandchildren, Jordyn (Eric) Houston, Braydon Meyer, Cameron Keezer, Maddy Tobin, Jameson Livingood, Jenson Livingood, Lorin Nottingham, Alison Nottingham, and her great-great-grandchild, Willow Boston, along with numerous other family members and friends.
