Joen V. Daniel

Joen V. Daniel was born in Athens, Georgia on September 4, 1942 to the late Ella Harper-Thomas and William Daniel. She moved to Newport, Kentucky at a very early age. United with Corinthian Baptist Church on Mothers' Day 1949 under the leadership of the late Reverend Ed Givens, where she served faithfully for many years. She served as Choir President for several years and Church Corresponding Secretary for many years.

She passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 and was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cynthia Smith. Joen is survived by her beloved children, Dwight "Tim" Daniel, Djuna Daniel, Shelby Turney, Larry (Kristilynn) Turney, Lori Turney; siblings, Denise Thomas, Steve Thomas, Sydna (Donald) Jones, Lawrence Smith; grandchildren, Tony, Mila, Alicia, Nikki, Chrissy, Jaylia, Devin, Kamille, Lennox, Lailah, Carson, Austin, Erion, Bryse; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be at 11:00 am Friday, August 21, 2020 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at House of Joy Ministries, 3220 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, Ohio 45225.
