John W. Beckner, Sr.

John W. Beckner, Sr., age 85, of Anderson Township, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022. He was born in Bellevue, Kentucky on January 7, 1937 to the late John F. and Blanche Walton (nee Liggett).
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Peggie Beckner, who passed September 9, 2018 and by his daughter, Robyn Carter. John is survived by his children, Peggie Beckner, John W. Beckner, Jr., Allen G. Beckner; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Ann B. Stephens; sister, Norma Manley; half brother, William J. Walton; and a host of other family members and friends.
John was a Marine veteran of the Korean War, he enjoyed classic cars, was a Kentucky Colonel, and was awarded the Charles Taylor Mechanics Award.
In loving memory of John, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Association or the American Heart Association. Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am Monday, September 12, 2022 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
