John J. Dittly, Sr., age 74, of Forest Park, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 13, 1948 to Louis A. Dittly and Dorothy J. Enderle (nee Oser).
He was preceded in death by his Father, Louis A Dittly; Mother, Dorothy J. Enderle; Step-Father, Melvin "Mac" M. Enderle; Brothers, Kenneth Rudisell, Robert Rudisell; and Sister, Geraldine Walters. John is survived by his beloved Wife of 53 years, Sheila A. Dittly (nee Lehart); Son, John J. Dittly, Jr.; Daughter, Michele L. (William) Finan; Brother, James (Karen) Rudisell; Sister, Beverly H. Cox; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, neighbors, and friends.
John had a unique sense of humor, loved helping others and was a storyteller. He enjoyed the outdoors, going hunting and fishing. John was talented with fixing and repairing anything. He enjoyed Cincinnati sports, he and Sheila watched almost every Reds game. He enjoyed cooking, especially Thanksgiving stuffing, and trips to the casino.
Funeral Ceremony will be 1:30 pm Monday, August 15, 2022 with a visitation from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Entombment will immediately follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
