John F James was born on August 27, 1937 in Tuscaloosa, AL to Mrs. Leola and Mr. John F James who preceded him in death.
He graduated from Druid High School in Tuscaloosa, AL and later enlisted in the United States Army where he received an honorable discharge in 1963.
John loved cars and he loved driving (fast). He worked on his own vehicles and made sure they were polished and looking nice inside and out. He worked in a metal recycling plant until they closed down and then drove cabs as a hobby.
He joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age in Tuscaloosa, AL.
On January 27, 2012 John F James departed this life as he answered the call to life eternal with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While he waited for the Lord to lift him up, he recommitted his life to the Lord and spent his last days worshiping Him.
John F. James leaves nine children, one of which precedes him in death, one sister, Martha Sanders (Lewis); two brothers who preceded him in death, Mr. Luddie L James and Mr. Homer James; special niece, Prudence Whatley (Jay); special nephew, Larry Gibson (Connie); great nephew, LeWinn Sanders who was close to his heart; host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
