Gray, John G. age 96, of Florence, Kentucky passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023. He was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on December 8, 1926 to John G. Gray and Dorothy Gray (nee Garvin).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Gray. John is survived by his sons, Chris (Ginger) Gray, Daniel (Yani) Gray, and David (Judy) Gray; stepsons, Geoff (Debbie) Walden and Greg (Sue) Walden; grandchildren, Alex (Olivia) Gray, Heidi Gray, Andrew (Allison) Gray, Ellen Gray, Erin Walden, Rob Walden, and Alex Walden; brother, Sam (Yvonne) Gray; former spouse, Carole Johnson; and a host of other family members and friends.
John proudly served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. Following discharge from the military, he graduated from the University of Miami. John then graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He was a professional pilot for 32 years. In his free time he enjoyed being outdoors, going camping and hiking. He especially cherished any time spent with his wife, Mary Frances.
Memorial Service will be 11:30 am Friday, July 21, 2023 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
