GLADFELTER, John H., age 67, of Cincinnati passed away on Monday, November 9, 2015. He was born May 18, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to Howard and Toni Gladfelter.
John is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Christine (Green) Gladfelter; daughters, Heidi (Ray) Harlow and Megan Ann (Connor Inglis) Gladfelter; son, Michael Duke Gladfelter; grandchildren, Madison, Dillon, and Justin Harlow; father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Shirley Green; sister-in-law, Dawn (Bret) Dosland; brother-in-law, Matthew Green; nephews, Conrad and Curtis Dosland; and close family friends, Beanie and Mark Kinder, Karen (Kinder) Berrett, Bernie Varnau and Keith Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents and aunts, Helen Glass and Jean Troutman.
John cherished his family, was a longtime supporter of Oak Hills Athletics, the Bengals, and the University of Cincinnati. He loved riding his Harley, restoring Triumph Motorcycles, and he flew control-line model airplanes for over 50 years. John was proud of his involvement in the largest fleet production of trucks and trailers since WWII as Vice President of manufacturing for U-Haul International in Tempe, Arizona. He was a 1966 graduate of Wyoming High School and attended Mesa Community College.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211, 513-661-7283.
