John H. Wesley, Jr., age 61, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 25, 1960 to John H. Sr. and Flora Wesley (nee Laxton ).
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his sister, Sheila Dennis.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Linda Wesley (nee Deluse), his children, Cynthia (Dustin Shaw) Prewitt, Mary (Bill Wooten) Hadley, John A (Ashley Valentine) Wesley, his grandchildren, Christopher Michael Thomas Hadley, Haylee Prewitt, Kierstynn Boyer, Jasmine Boyer, Liam Wesley and one on the way.
John is the brother of Beverly (Darrell) Scott and Duane (Ron Campbell) Wesley. He is the uncle of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
John was loved by many kids and others that were not his, but looked up to him as a father figure.
John was a truck driver, hauling heavy equipment. Loved spending time with his grandkids and family. His hobbies including "trashing", riding around with the top down in his Jeep, and watching NASCAR. At home, outdoors, you would find him on the lawn tractor or by the grill. He was a kid at heart, loved watching the "old" cartoons, alone or with his grandkids.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211) from 10 AM until the funeral service at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Old Cemetery.
