Johnnie Lee Horsley, age 70, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He was born in Newnan, Georgia on November 29, 1949 to John Thomas and Frances L. Horsley (nee Gould).
Johnnie graduated from Lincoln Heights High School in 1967. As a teenager he raced cars and rollerskated at Johnson Skating Rink. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Dubois Chemicals and Philip Carey for several years. He then went on to get his certification as an HVAC Technician, retiring in 1995.
Johnnie enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominoes, appreciated women, and just having a good time. He spoke his mind and was a genuine person. He kept close with his family and friends, sent cards to people he cared about, and was a giving person always making donations to local charities.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Thomas Horsley; brother, Eugene Thomas Horsley; and sister, Francinass Elizabeth Horsley.
Johnnie is survived by his mother, Frances L. Horsley; daughter, Nikki Gooch; son, Jermaine P. Adams; sisters, Mae Frances Horsley-Smith, and Hattie Teresa Horsley-Khalil; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
