MOONEY, Johnny Marviel, age 39 of Cincinnati passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015. He was born in Telfair County, Georgia on July 8, 1976. Johnny was the owner and operator of JMD Staffing Company. Johnny was a quarterback and coach for the Cincinnati Falcons and was engaged to Danielle Johnson.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father's Johnnie Moore and Van V. Mooney; his mother, Mary Jewell Mooney; four brothers, Vertis L. Mackey, Cooper O. Mooney, Jerome Mooney, and Van Mooney Jr.; two sisters, Emma Davis and EuVera Martin; his uncle, Otis Moore. He is survived by his fiancée Danielle Johnson; children and God children, Johnny Mooney IV, Marviel Matthews, Daniel Mooney, Micole Pickett, Chellecy Willis, Khalil Willis, Chanoa' Willis, Khylis Willis, Cheyenne Fisher, Lawrence Matthews and Branden Woods; six brothers, Richard Mooney and his wife Sabra, Ben Mooney and his wife Rebecca, Grady Mooney, Adam Mooney and his wife Cheryl and Burneill Mooney and John Moore; seven sisters, Janie M. Smith and her husband Robert, Theresa Gill and her husband James, Cherelle Bell and her husband Michael, Stella Caffee and her husband James, Johnnie Mae Martin and her husband Robert, Edith Smith and Tina Smith; his uncle, James Moore; two aunts, Marcella Mooney and Ora Lee Moore; his sister-in-law, Martha Mooney; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211 on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 12 noon. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 12 noon. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
