Johnny Alex "Cadillac" Smith, age 95, of Batavia, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023. He was born in Hazard, Kentucky on April 22, 1928 to Will and Mima Smith (nee Noble).
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Jim, Tom, Fred, Everett, Margie and Alte Smith.
Johnny is survived by his step daughters, Gail Tierney and Joan McCurry. He is a grandpa, great grandpa and great-great grandpa. He also has many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He leaves behind a host of other family members and friends.
He had a career with the Penn-Central/ConRail system. He was a bar and night club owner. At one time, he owned a pizza parlor. He loved life. He loved his family. He enjoyed a full life!
Visitation will be Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211) from 11 AM until the funeral service at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mt. Healthy.
