Jonney Anderson

Jonney Anderson, age 75, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 3, 1946 to Isaac and Hattie Brown (nee Green).

Jonney attended Taft High School. He began a career in truck driving at the age of 17 and later became a certified electrician working for major businesses and then for himself.

Jonney had an amazing personality, fun loving and a sharp dresser! He was blessed with a love story for the ages. He found love again later in life while doing rehab at Hyde Park Nursing Center. He met Ms. Wanda Washington and united in matrimony on November 2, 2013 at 66 years young! Through this marriage he gained a daughter, Nikkita Oyeyemi, son in law and three beautiful granddaughters.

He was raised in church at Saint Stephens Missionary Baptist Church located in Northside, OH. He later developed his relationship with Christ. He was devoted to his family helping his mother create memorable moments such as Christmas for his younger siblings. He was also a strong support system to his siblings as they grew older.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife, Wanda, his brothers and sisters, Preston Anderson, Donald Anderson, Barbara Jean Anderson, James Howard and Curtis Howard.

Jonney is survived by his children, Tasha Young – Houston (Robert) Jonnie Byrd, Tonya Byrd, and Quincee Anderson-Harrow (Anthony). He is the brother of Sandra Harley (Brent) and Janet Douglas. He had eleven grandchildren, five great - grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati (45211) from 11 AM until the Celebration of Life at 12 Noon.
