Joseph F. Dublin

February 9, 1946 — February 7, 2018

Joseph Forrest Dublin was born on February 9, 1946 and died on February 7, 2018. "Bill", as he was known by his family, passed away from illness at the VA Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, just two days short of his 72nd birthday.

"Joe", as he was known by his friends, was born to the late Herman and Bertha Dublin (nee Hutchins) in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the only brother to three sisters. He attended Lockland High School, where he excelled in football. After graduating, he was offered the opportunity to play college football; but like so many young men in the 60's, he was drafted into the Army before making his dream to play college football a possibility. He served active duty and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War starting in 1966 and was released with an Honorable Discharge in 1968.

Joseph joined and was baptized at the Ebenezer Second Baptist Church, under the pastorate of the late Rev. Jack Zellars.
Being a vet made it possible for "Bill" to have great employment throughout his life. It was while at Fischer-Body Automotive Plant in Fairfield, Ohio, where he was studying and training to become a foreman, that he became ill.

"Bill" enjoyed and lived his life as he pleased. He loved fishing and looked forward every year to hunting with one of his favorite cousins, Jesse "Hut" Hutchins. Although "Bill" never married, he was a dedicated family man. He was a dutiful son to his mother and father, the protective brother to his sisters, and always the fun and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews.

"Bill" leaves to mourn his passing, three sisters, Mary White, Juanita Brown, and Lena Dublin. "Uncle Bill" will be truly missed by his six nieces and nephews, Richard (Domonique) White, Cledis (Colleen) White, Denise Cornist, Theresa Cornist, Phillip (Virginia) White, Jr., and Yolanda Dublin; his 15 great nieces and nephews; eight great-great nieces and nephews; and many other cousins, relatives, and friends.
