Joseph R. Huy, 61, of Colerain Township, Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Joe was the beloved husband and best friend of Peggy (Rogers) Huy, and loving, supportive father of Brianna (Huy) Wilkins (Stuart) and Ashley Sevier.
A friend to many, Joe didn't know a stranger. He was a pipefitter for Local 392 for 30+ years, and his family has roots in Cincinnati dating back to 18th century. He was the brother of Barbara (Huy) Ottke and the late Roberta Huy; son of the late Robert and Mary Jane (Kappner) Huy.
Joe is survived by step-children, Yvonne and C.J. Sevier (Nikki). He was "Papa Joe" to Molloy Wilkins, Brenden and Brayden Sevier, Xavier and Keegan Lingg, Lindsey and Jake Hancock. He was great "Papa Joe" to Madison, McKensie and Max.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Cincinnati in Joe's memory.
