Joseph Louis Padgett

Joseph L. Padgett was born is Martin County, Indiana on May 31, 1926, the son of James Walstine and Martha Queen Padgett. He was the youngest of seven siblings, all of whom predeceased him. He has many nieces, nephews, Grand and Great Grand nieces and nephews as well.

Mr. Padgett was a member of the Greatest Generation, a WWII veteran with active duty in the Navy from June 1943 until April 1946.

After the military service, he attended Indiana University and obtained his Bachelors degree. Mr. Padgett was a lifetime member of Phi Kappa Fraternity. And a lifelong Hoosiers fan as well. He completed his MBA at Xavier University.

He retired from a career at the IRS at the end of 1988. Throughout retirement he has been a member of NARFE. Mr. Padgett loved to travel and enjoyed many trips to National Parks, Las Vegas, across Canada, and to Ireland and Spain.

Services and burial will be held in Bramble, Indiana. Date and time are pending.
