Karen Bjork Fessel, passed away on Saturday April 2, 2022. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 18th, 1936 to Arnold and Marian Bjork. She was preceded in death by her husband H. Alton Fessel.
Karen is the mother of James (Kim) Cornetet, Cheryl (Tim) Gannon and John (Teresa)Cornetet.
She is the grandmother of Zachary (Julie) Ballinger, Tara (Levi Spetz) Ballinger, Logan (Mark) Konitsch, Josh (Jenny) Cornetet, Jessica Cornetet, Paige (Peter) Afendoulis, Brooke Cornetet, Claire Cornetet and Peter Cornetet.
Karen is the great grandmother of Bradley, Andrew, Charlie, Evi, Welles, Brooks, Cooper and Frank.
She is the step-mother of Thomas (Vernice) Fessel and William Fessel (Jean Berberich).
Karen is the step-grandmother of Christopher (BethAnne) Fessel, Jacqueline (Warren) Millican, Jonathan (Catherine) Fessel, Angela Fessel and Caleb Fessel and the step-great grandmother of Abigail, Matthew, Colton, Lucas, Davis and Graham.
Karen enjoyed many activities and was a member of the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League). She was a Life Master. She also belonged to Western Hills Country Club of Cincinnati, and Laurel Oak, and Field Club of Sarasota.
Karen and Alton had a Sprinkle Fund. It was and is their belief that giving should be done quietly without thought of reward or recognition. If you wish to honor their lives and legacy, I ask that you look around you and find a way to give to another quietly, with song in your heart for having the opportunity to bring a smile to the heart of another and a little warmth to their soul when it was least expected.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled at the Western Hills Country Club, 5780 Cleves Warsaw Pike, Cincinnati, Ohio 45238
on April 21, 2022 beginning at 11:00 AM.
