Katie Jean Rowland

Life began for Katie on March 9, 1957 here in Cincinnati Ohio; she was the third child to Claude & Helen Rowland. Her life journey ended on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Christ Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, Doc and Katie Johnson; parents, Claude and Helen Rowland and brother, Charles Henry Rowland, a-k-a Rowland Boy.

Katie had a love for the Lord and her favorite gospel song was "I Got a Home Over the Mountain". She attended Cincinnati public schools graduating from Taft High School, June class of 1975. She loved life, her family, and did not meet a stranger. When you met Katie you were touched by her joyful personality and lively smile. She'd welcome you into her world with open arms. Her home and heart was open to many.

Katie leaves to cherish many memories – Son, Carlos Andre D. Rowland (Lisa); Grandchildren, Carlos II, Nicole, Aleah, Andre Rowland, Jasmine Sarley, Jaelen Summerours, Juwuan Nared; Great-grandson, De'Andre Rowland; Devoted Sister, Clara T. Rowland; Loving Brother, Oscar Johnson; special family friend, Charles M. Davis. Loving aunt of Tracey, Sonequia and Jasmine Johnson, Jerome (Krishna), Michelle and Kevin Rowland. Dear Elder cousins, Mozelle Johnson of Atlanta Ga, Josephine Pass and Stanley Johnson of Atlanta Ga, Sonny and Michelle Coulter. God family-mother/sister/friend Cheryl Hammonds, nieces Gayle Russell (Kenny), Cammy Dudley (Issac), Larryssa Vinson (Fernandus), nephews Ollist Hammonds (Marva), Avery Hammonds (Tara) and Kevin Hammonds. Host of cousins, great nieces and nephews,great-great nieces and nephews, extended family and loving friends including Dee Eubanks,Linda Peterson, Rhonda Scott
and Shannon Trent.

Katie had much love for the Medline Readycore family with whom she worked.
