Kevin L. Reinhardt, age 66 of Cheviot, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 5, 2024.
Kevin was born on May 24, 1958, and adopted shortly thereafter by the late Raymond and Fay Reinhardt (nee Prather). He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Victoria (nee Dickey) and his cherished daughter Kristel (Ron) Trammell. Kevin had three grandsons of whom he was enormously proud, Devon (Mia) Scheuermann, Bradley (Rachel) Scheuermann and Riley Trammell. He was also Great Grandpa to James and soon to arrive Annalise Scheuermann. Kevin also leaves behind his brother Keith (Shannon) Reinhardt and several nieces & nephews.
Kevin attended Western Hills High School and married his high school sweetheart in 1975. Kevin was the third generation of the Reinhardt family to manage and maintain the Baltimore Pike Cemetery, beginning in the early 1930s and ending in 2007 when he retired. He took immense pride in meticulously maintaining the grounds and being of service to the community.
Kevin had been a member of Cheviot Fire Association and had many interests over the years; bowling, camping, fishing, golfing, hiking, reading, square dancing, traveling, and playing trivia to name just a few. He enjoyed being with family and watching his grandsons play sports. He always had a stupid Grandpa joke at the ready.
In 2002 Kevin was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and with the aid of a deep brain stimulator was able to maintain an active lifestyle. His outlook was, “I might have not so good days, but I don’t have bad days.”
He lived a full life and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Until we meet again Sweetie.
