Pastor Kim departed this life on September 19, 2012 at Christ Hospital. After fighting serious illnesses, she stayed faithful and believed God for her miracle! Kim received her General Studies at Forest Park High School where she received her Diploma, Class of 1977. Kim attended University of Cincinnati where she received an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. While attending U.C. she sang with Haunni Roby under the direction of Donald Lawrence. In 2007, she completed her Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice at Union Institute in Cincinnati. Pastor Kim was working towards completing her Masters in Pastoral Counseling at Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA with an expected graduation date of April 2013. Although she has degrees in Criminal Justice, she had a true passion for the medical field.
Kim accepted the Lord at an early age; she later received the Gifting of The Holy Ghost at The House of Prayer under the leadership of Pastor Juanita Cook, Cincinnati, OH. Kim was licensed and ordained at Testament Worship Center where the late Tina T. Duncan-Landers was the pastor. Pastor Kim preached her first sermon entitled "Favor Ain't Fair" in 2002 at Manifested Glory Ministries. She was joined in married Michael W. Mitchell on March 26, 2005. Pastor Kim was the 1st Lady and Co-Pastor with Bishop Michael W. Mitchell, Pastor of Brighter Day Ministries.
Pastor Kim was an Entrepreneur; she was the CEO and Founder of Simpson's Consultant, "Where you start your business right!" She was always available to assist someone in need of her professional and spiritual guidance. She loved working with people; she has a true heart for people. She especially loved her family and children; she always gave whatever she needed to give to any and every one. She never met a stranger and would give you a "Word from the Lord" even if you did not like it. Kim is a woman after God's own heart, a woman with integrity. Kim was a prayer warrior, prayer intercessory and she loved reading the Bible.
Kim leaves to cherish her spouse; Bishop Michael W. Mitchell, her children; Michael Anthony (Janice), Greg Jr., and Mari Lizbeth. Her only brother whom she loved DEARLY, Bishop William C. Simpson, III (Sheila). Her adopted sister, Christine Hale and Sidney Butler with over 35 years of friendship. Her loving niece; Shanrecca (Tremaine), Tremaine Jr., Tremeil, Simeon, Si'on Willis, her babies. A host of nieces and nephews which were very dear to Kim, she loved us ALL. The Humana staff and a host of family and friends.
Funeral service for Kimberly Rochelle Mitchell, age 53 of Cincinnati, will be Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 12:00 PM at the Word of Deliverance, 693 Fresno, Forest Park, Ohio 45240. Bishop Derick Smith will officiate. The visitation will be on Saturday, September 22, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Word of Deliverance, 693 Fresno, Forest Park, Ohio 45240.
