L. Jeanine Carpenter

Jeanine Carpenter (Hale), 83, of Florence, KY was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, October, 23, 2018. "G", as she was affectionately known, was born on January 8, 1935 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Helene J. Merritt (nee. Lett) and George T. Merritt. She was first and foremost a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to many. She is survived by nine of her children, Terry McNerney (Marianne), Gerald McNerney, Sue Jones (Robbie), Leslie Zook (Dana), Tamra McNerney, Jeanine Lynn McNerney, Jo Ann McNerney, Keith McNerney, Mark McNerney (Carolyn) and grandson James McNerney along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Joan Merritt-White, beloved sons, William & Steven McNerney, & loving grandsons Bobby Jones and Keith McNerney, Jr. A 1953 graduate of Toledo's famed Libbey High, she dedicated her life to her family. In addition to her motherly attributes, she enjoyed hosting gatherings, cooking, sewing, game shows and yelling "Bingo". She was a loyal and devoted employee for decades at Turfway Park and River Downs.


A memorial Service will be 12:00 pm Saturday, October 27, 2018 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
