Lamont Marshall Harris, Sr.

Lamont Marshall "Big Mont" "Tnomal" "DJ Monty Soul" Harris, Sr., age 67, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 5, 1954 to Marshall and Thelma Harris (nee Kennedy). Lamont was a loving father, artist, percussionist, and professional craftsman. He was a very creative person who loved music, sports and creating art. Lamont was a baseball coach and was passionate about being a mentor to all. He is described as multitalented and played in bands and created art pieces that were displayed in museums around the world. Lamont was known to be very friendly and a people person who was the life of the party. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his Father, Marshall Harris.

Lamont is survived by his beloved Wife of 38 years, Carlena Tate-Harris; Mother, Thelma Harris; children, Tiana (Sean) Henry, Lamont (Omega) Harris, Jr., Lamar Harris, Carlos (Tramaine) Harris; grandchildren, Arayah Henry, Kasai Harris, Kacey Harris; cousins, Kiefer Mason, Kimberly Mason, Lamont Mason; and a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be 5:00 pm Saturday, November 27, 2021 with a visitation from 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
