Lance Erik Mathews

Lance Erik Mathews, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2024, in Walton, Kentucky. He was born on July 19, 1990, in Atlanta, Georgia, to his loving parents Derek Mathews and LaNette Jonson (nee Dunning).

Lance was known for his passion for fishing and unwavering support for the Cincinnati Bengals. His enthusiasm for these hobbies brought joy to those around him and created many lasting memories with friends and family.

He is survived his son Torstine Mathews, who meant the world to him. Lance also leaves behind his parents, Derek (Joy) Mathews and LaNette Jonson, siblings Danielle (Tyrone) Ridley, Elyse (Craig) Pennington and Austin (Katie) Morgan, and his paternal grandmother, Hannelore Mathews and maternal grandmother, Laverne Mathews.

Lance Erik Mathews will be remembered for his kind heart, great sense of humor, infectious laughter, and the love he had for his family. His legacy lives on through the memories shared by those who knew him best.
