Lark Taylor was born on December 15, 1937, to the union of the late Ebelyn & Early Taylor in Millry, Alabama. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at his home. Deceased siblings – 8 brothers, Alvin, Ray, Robert, Williams "Will", and Leslie of Mobile, Alabama; Cecil and LB of Miami, Florida; JC of Millry, Alabama; 3 sisters, Flora, Verta and Mary, all of Mobile, Alabama.
Lark was the 10th of 13 siblings. In Millry, he worked with his father on the farm, plowing with the mule and picking cotton at the age of 12 years old. He was a hard worker and always kept a job. At the age of 16, he worked in Prichard/Mobile, Alabama at the Alabama Water Works – of which, he told them that he was 21 because he was a big boy and looked mature. He moved from Prichard/Millry, Alabama to Cincinnati in the 60s. He was employed over 20 years by Astros Containers Company.
In 1986, he married Jodee 'Dudley' Taylor (deceased). Marriage was blessed with a son, Lark Dudley and granddaughter, K'ashyra Sanders.
Lark attended Samaria Early Church of God in Christ in the 90s. He was saved and believed in praising the Lord! Lark danced like David danced 'with all his might' along with Dea. Dudley (smiles). Later he became a member of Willing Spirit Baptist Church where he was an usher.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Lark Dudley and Lark Taylor; two daughters, Darlene Mann and Sharon Taylor of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Fannie May Taylor, a devoted sister of Mobile, Alabama and Eloise Washington of Miami, Florida; four grandsons, Tyler Taylor, Michael Taylor, Jonathan Taylor and David Taylor; four granddaughters, K'ashyra Sanders, Queelha Thornton, Deja Taylor, Kesha Gillian; one nephew, Frankie, a devoted nephew (Mary) Taylor; one great nephew, James Grain of Mobile, Alabama; one great niece, Ronda Grain of Mobile Alabama and a host of relatives and friends.
He will be missed by all.
