Laura Lindsey (nee Kennedy) born April 2, 1954 to Jack and JohnElla Kennedy, the fifth of eight siblings, two of which preceded her in death, Brenda Abernathy and Jack Kennedy Jr.
Laura professed her life to Christ at an early age at Cannon Baptist Church. She attended Windsor Elementary and Courtor Technical High School. She received her GED at a later date.
While she was attending Courter Tech, she met William Patton, her high school sweetheart. To this union, LaShonda Denise Kennedy was born.
In 1977, Laura married James Howard who preceded her in death. To this union, they were blessed with two sons, Demetrius and Jeneo Howard.
In 1989, Laura joined Bethlehem Temple where she participated in the soup kitchen serving the homeless and others in need.
In 1999, she married Michael Wayne Lindsey who preceded her in death.
In January 2002, Laura became certified to become a foster mother to Brenda, Aaliyah and Ricardo Abernathy, her great nieces and nephew.
Laura transitioned from this life to her life eternal August 14, 2013. She leaves to celebrate her life a daughter, LaShonda Denise Kennedy; two sons, Demetrius A. (Rose) Howard and Jeneo D. Howard Sr.; grandchildren, Darius Kennedy, Michael Haggard III, Tyler Howard, Demetrius Scott, Heaven Scott, Kiara Howard, Jemia Howard, Jeneo Howard Jr., Dasha Wilkes, and Brandon Ingram; two sisters, Laverne Hatchett of Detroit, Michigan and Cindy Kennedy of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers, Phillip, Larry, and Mark Kennedy, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; her very special friend and companion, Mr. Doyle Kirk; and numerous other family and friends.
