Cress, Laverne age 81, of Petersburg, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. He was born in Burning Springs, Kentucky on June 27, 1938 to parents Richmond and Cecilia Westerfield Cress .
He is survived by his Four Sons, Tony (Alicia) Cress, Thomas (Ana) A Cress, Paul (Peggy) Cress, Edwin (Pam) L Cress; Daughter, Kathy R Poole; Brothers, Kenneth Cress, Lundy Cress; Sisters, Katherine Mitchell, Marie Cress, June Burns; 11 grand children; 1 great grandson.
He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Barbara Cress; Mother, Cecilia Cress, Father, Richmond Cress; Sister, Viola Holland, Son-in-Law Mark Poole.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Friday at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018.
The Funeral Ceremony will begin at 11:00 am, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 3920 Petersburg Rd, Burlington, KY 41005 on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Interment will follow at Burlington Cemetery 6050 Firehouse Drive, Burlington, KY 41005 (Behind Burlington Fire Department).
