Leon Larkins was born January 22, 1958, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Susie Young and the late Eddie Larkins. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, and entered in the hands of the Lord. At an early age Leon professed Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was an ordained, licensed minister. He was Hobb operator for the Ford Motor Company. After 16 years of service he retired early in 1995. On December 11, 1992, in Indianapolis, he was joined together in holy matrimony to Phyllis Larkins. Between the both of them they had seven children. Leon was a cherished member of his family and will be deeply missed by all.
Leon is survived by his mother, Susie Young; his beloved wife, Phyllis Larkins; his children, Alicia (Bruce) White, Leonna Larkins, Tawanna (Eric) Lackey, Kristen Larkins and his only son, Leon Larkins, II; two stepdaughters, Yolanda (Charles) and Kinjana (Alphonso); one sister, Ophelia (Ronnie) Croom; four brothers, Eddie Larkins, Jr., Terry Larkins, Jerome (Niecey) Larkins, William (Vera) Larkins; 25 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; his favorite niece, Sharlene (Greg) and a host of other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends, uncles and aunts.
