On Thursday, September 2, 2021 God called Leon, one of his warriors' home. LEON THOMAS, JR. was one of 4 children born to Leon and Bernice Thomas in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 17, 1952. He was proceeded in his transition by his father, Leon E. Thomas and his newborn brother, Steven Thomas.
Billy loved to laugh and had a witty sense of humor. He entertained his family and friends with his "ad lib" dialog, he could make any situation a laughing matter. Billy loved his family but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and listening to music, his favorite group was the Isley Brothers, who were originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. After Leon graduated from Taft High School, he worked at a range of jobs until his employment at Pierre' Foods. At Pierre Foods Billy was employed as a forklift operator until his retirement in 2018. Leon acquired his nickname, Billy in his youth because Billy and his father had the same name, so every time his mom would say Leon, he and his dad would both answer, therefore his mom nicknamed him Billy.
He leaves to cherish and honor his memory: his mother, Bernice Thomas, his children, El'Rico Sinclair, Leon Worthen, Michael Bess, Sheena Worthen and 14 grandchildren. El'Rico Sinclaire's children: Mayzur and Shamicka Sinclaire, Jennifer Feldhaus. Leon Tyre Worthen's children Teauan and Tyreice Worthen, Michael Bess children, Mahogany, Makayla, Makenzie and Cassius Bess, Corey Myrick and Brody Jacobs. Sheena Worthen's children: Shaniya Hackle, Kennedy Riley, Nova Byers. His siblings, Bernice Walker and Lawrence Thomas, Sr. (Phyllis Thomas). Deborah Worthen, friend and confidant in life.
