Obituary
Leonard Moore Edwards Sr. passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 6:28 PM. He was born in Crawfordville, Georgia on September 22, 1930 the son of Ed and Willa Bell (Anderson) Edwards. Leonard was a retired employee of the City of Cincinnati Metropolitan Sewer District.
He is survived by four daughters; Brenda Edwards, Marsha (Thomas) Nash, Gale Edwards, and Sherry (Danny) Siebert; six sons, Ronald, David, Leonard Jr., Michael, Douglas, and James Edwards; eleven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond and John Howard Edwards; one sister, Gladys Travis; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Willie Henry, Willie Clyde, and John Lord Edwards; three sisters, Prince Ella Adkins, Willa Bell Edwards, and Mary Emma Edwards.
Funeral service will be held at the Golden Leaf Baptist Church, 5910 Argus Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224, on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Carl P. Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in Vine Street Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.
